Dog owners and kids - beware!!!

There are several breeds of dogs deemed to be "dangerous." The #1 on the dangerous list has always been the Bully Breeds, including Pitt Bulls and even Bull Terriers.

If you are the owner of a dog that is one of the "dangerous" breeds, and you are also the parent of a small child, or have a small child visiting you, then please take this message as fair warning.

Don't leave your dog with any small child unattended under any circumstances. If you do, the following might happen (the following picture might not be for the faint of heart):

Remember, only YOU can prevent such tragedy from happening to YOUR dog.

A Record Breaking Boomer

Meet Boomer, a Landseer Newfoundland, and his human Caryn Weber.

3 year old Boomer is 180 pounds, measuring 3 feet tall at the shoulders and 7 feet long from nose to tail.

When getting a drink from the kitchen sink, he doesn't even have to stand on his back paws!

They hope to get Boomer in the Guinness World Records book as the tallest living dog.

Mexican Lion

I received this in an e-mail and thought it was cute enough to share:

This is the story of a Garage Owner in the Southwest New Mexico

He was sick and tired of thugs breaking into his garage shop to steal tools, etc. So he came up with this idea.

He put the word out that he had a new Mexican Lion that would attack anyone that would break in or climb his fence.

Would-be thieves saw the "Lion" from a distance and fled the scene.

The dog's probably trying to figure out why his head's so hot and his butt's so cold?

Ladybug Swarm

Ladybugs are a lot of peoples favorite bug.

I wonder how many people would like them if they always traveled in huge swarms like this.

One Bad Mule

Contrary to popular belief this mule, named Berry, did not attack and kill this mountain lion on its own. The mule belongs to a hunter, and it likes to beat up on the big cats after the hunter has shot it.

You can read Berry's real story at Snopes.com in the article ONE BAD MULE

Cat Chases Dog

Usually it is more common to see a dog chasing a cat, at least until the cat runs up a tree and hides. But how often do you see a cat chasing off a (adult) dog?

Check out the fearless feline, and the fraidy dog in this video:

Really Big Aquarium

The video shared here was taken at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. It is really stunning, and something I would love to see in person.

I do highly reccomend that you click to watch this video in full screen, so you can really see the beauty and grace of these animals. Especially the Whale Sharks which I love.

Flying Cotton Balls?

Most people, thinking of bats, will think of bloodthirsty creatures capabale of turning into vampires at the worst, or in the very least swooping down and tangling themselves in your hair. And rabies, lets not forget rabies.

I bet when you think of bats, you have never thought of fluffy white and yellow balls of fluff, but there is such a thing.

Not only are they cute, they are also crafty. That big leaf they are laying in has been cut and folded by them to be a tent for them to live in!

Surrogate Owl Mom

A group of orphaned baby owls snuggle up to a cuddly toy which has become their surrogate mum after they were found on the brink of death in the wild.

The tiny tawny owl chicks burrow in under the fluffy toy's wings to keep warm after they were separated from their own mothers.

The chicks, all aged between just four and eight weeks, faced certain death as they fended for themselves alone in the wild but are now recovering in an animal hospital.

Now THATS a bat and Entrecard Top Droppers

When most women think of bats flying around them, they want to squeal and hide, afraid that it might stick itself in her hair.

This woman apparently has no fear of bats, just look at the smile on her face.

Cage of Death

At Crocosaurus Cove in Australia, for a fee, you can be lowered in "The Cage of Death" which is an acrylic cage into the water int he habitat of Choppa, a full grown saltwater crocodile.

Actually, it looks more like a "cage of needless annoyance" at least from the crocodiles point of view. I wonder if Choppa ever gets tired of being teased with tasty human meat tidbits?
