Crazy woman kills dog for chewing Bible

A Spartanburg County woman has been charged with felony animal cruelty, accused of hanging her nephew's pit bull with an electrical cord and burning its body after the dog chewed on her Bible, authorities said today.

The 1 year old pit bull named Diamond, who was already mistreated by being a CHAINED outdoor dog, chewed on a Bible that had been left on the front porch, within her reach.

Smith, 65, was quoted as saying the dog was a "Devil dog."

She faces 180 days to five years in prison if convicted.  She might bet a lighter penalty depending on her "mental state."

Give Thanks to Those We Eat

Today is a day for giving thanks.

Today is also a day for stuffing your tummy with goodness.

Many people will be eating turkey today, baked or deep fried.  Others will be eating ham, or duck, goose or hen.

While giving thanks for all of your blessings today, take a moment to give thanks for those animals who are helping to feed us, not only on this thankful holiday, but all year long.

If you are vegetarian, you can give thanks to the vegetables you are eating.  After al, just like animals, those plants are giving their life so that you might eat.

THANK YOU, all things great and small, for filling my belly, and helping me stay strong.
